    Interlibrary Loan. Interlibrary Loan (ILL) is a cooperative effort between libraries to provide better services for their patrons. The purpose of ILL is to allow you to obtain books, journal articles, and other materials that are not available in Brown Library. We will request the item you need from another library that owns it. Interlibrary Borrowing Service (IBS) obtains items not available in UC Berkeley's library collections for UC Berkeley students, faculty, and staff, as well as other eligible patrons.. International borrowing is available to faculty and graduate students. Items considered not available and therefore eligible to be requested through Interlibrary Borrowing.

    Interlibrary Loan and Document Delivery Defined. When a patron of the SUNY Potsdam College Libraries needs library materials not available locally at the College Libraries, they can request the material through ILLiad, the college’s InterLibrary Loan (ILL) and Document Delivery : Glen Bogardus. Interlibrary Loan books (they have a colored paper band around the cover) can be returned in the book drop outside the Young Library/Bass Hall. Research Help. If the Library does not own the book or article you need, we will try to get it for you. Through Interlibrary Loan (ILL), the CSUDH library works with other libraries locally and around the country to borrow the item and have it delivered to you at CSUDH or electronically on the web.

What is ILL. Interlibrary Loan may be used to obtain library materials for individual study and research which are not available at Tutt Library but are available from other libraries or document delivery services. The library is unable to borrow required class textbooks via Interlibrary Loan because: Purchasing textbooks is part of normal college expenses, along with paying tuition and dorm/rental expenses and buying school supplies, a parking pass, and a meal plan.

Interlibrary Loan is a service that our library aims to provide at no charge to you. To do this we try to order from libraries that do not charge an extra fee to share their materials.

If we are unable to find such a supplier, we will contact you so that you may decide whether or not you would like to pay to obtain the material.

ATTENTION ALL INTERLIBRARY LOAN PATRONS. All fines incurred on any Interlibrary Loan items will be the responsibility of the patron. Some libraries are now charging for the replacement cost of any library material that is returned late.

Procedure. Please read our Interlibrary Loan Policy below before making Interlibrary Loan requests. To request a book: Search WorldCat Local (with limit set to Libraries Worldwide) and find a record for the desired book.; Verify that Union College does not own the book (there may be several records for the same book, be sure to check all of them).

Definition: An interlibrary loan is a transaction in which library material, or a copy of the material, is made available by one library to another library, upon library subscribes to the Interlibrary Loan Code of the American Library Association as the governing principle and guide behind the negotiation of these transactions.

Loan periods for Interlibrary Loan items are determined by the lending library. The average loan period is approximately two to three weeks. To request a renewal of your Interlibrary Loan material, you must select the "request renewal" option under your ILL account, available online here.

Renewals can not be processed manually by ILL staff. Interlibrary Loan (ILL) can be used to borrow library materials or obtain copies of articles or book chapters currently not available from KU Libraries, or not owned by the KU Libraries.

Through cooperative agreements, participating libraries share their collections with students, faculty and staff from other libraries. The Hekman Library provides Interlibrary Loan services to all faculty, staff, students, alumni*, emeriti of Calvin University and Seminary, visiting scholars, and Christian Reformed pastors.

A patron's library account must be in good standing to initiate an interlibrary loan request. Spring classes have resumed online.
